Letter from Ambassador Ranneberger, US Embassy, Kenya
"I urge you to look again at Kenya as an exciting destination for tourism and for doing business, be it trade or investment."
"I hope you'll consider visiting Kenya as a tourist or businessperson in 2008. The country is very much back in business and this is an exciting time to be here."

Our itineraries are carefully thought out to give you TIME:

  • To experience the vastness of Africa;
  • To watch, study and photograph whatever is of interest be it animals, birds, people, flowers or scenes.
  • To walk away from the confines of a vehicle and to feel and see Africa in the same way as the early explorers did.
  • To enjoy camp life with a small group of like-minded people.

Bushbuck Mara Camp

tent in campsiteOur private Camp in the Masai Mara with its exclusive location near the Aitong Hills is a welcome oasis for a few days game viewing and photography. Here's a possible itinerary for a visit. A great destination in and of itself, you can also combine your stay there with a one of our private mobile safaris.

Kenya combined with Tanzania is a popular option when visiting East Africa: a combined safari can be arranged on your behalf. There are many choices for safaris throughout Kenya.

About the Company

Bushbuck Adventures is a well established Kenya-based company. We have many years of experience in providing real safaris to all areas of Kenya.

We do not offer safaris for those requiring all the comforts of home, neither do we offer rock bottom prices and comparable facilities. We specialise in safaris for the more adventurous, for those who don't mind a certain amount of unpredictability, but who want reasonable comfort while still feeling close to nature and away from other tourists.

We are a progressive company always looking for ways to improve our service to clients and to open up new areas of Kenya that have their own special appeal and interest and which are away from the main tourist routes.

Attention to detail is what makes our safaris so memorable and enjoyable for all participants.

What's Included:

Transport in four wheel drive vehicle, all well maintained with proven reliability and appropriate for the conditions likely to be encountered. Spacious tents, hot showers (depending on availability of water) and toilet facilities, mess tent; excellent meals prepared by our safari cooks; game park, camping and local guide fees; use of reference books, First Aid Kit, expert guides and drivers and office back up for re-confirmation of onward flights and coast extensions.

What you need:

Essentially, a sense of fun and adventure, but you also need binoculars, personal pocket money, sturdy walking shoes, tough safari clothes (not white), personal toilet requisites, camera, spare batteries and enough film for your whole trip, torch/flashlight, airport departure tax.

Conservation

Our guides are all conservationists and have proved time and again that they have the qualities to organise and run safe and exciting adventures into the remote areas of Kenya. They are sensitive people who have many years experience of the African bush and a wealth of knowledge on all aspects of life in Kenya.

We care not only about our clients, but also about Kenya's magnificent heritage: its wildlife, birds, flora, scenery and its people. We are actively involved in conservation efforts, particularly in the use of wood fuel, promotion of tree planting and environmental education.
